NPBA Celebrates Local Small Businesses by Hosting Small Business Saturday® Event in City of Newburgh The NPBA will Celebrate Small Business Saturday in the City of Newburgh, November 29, 2014. Created by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide. Celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the day has given small businesses across the country a huge boost. Recognizing the importance of supporting small independently-owned businesses in our community, NPBA is pleased to announce our support for Small Business Saturday and its Neighborhood Champion program. The greater Newburgh area is encouraged to take part in our Small Business Saturday Shop Local Festivities on November 29th. The City of Newburgh has over 200 retail establishments who are primarily family owned businesses. Small Business Saturday is a great opportunity to showcase the vast array of products and services available to consumers. The Shop Small festivities celebrate community and by encouraging support of local businesses. Small business owners can take advantage of free marketing tools and consumers can find small merchants to shop at on Small Business Saturday by visiting Shop Small.
